(Das "6G Research and Innovation Cluster" (6G-RIC) verfolgt das Ziel, Mobilfunksysteme mit offenen Schnittstellen über alle Technologiegrenzen hinweg zu entwickeln. Dabei stehen die Technologieentwicklung und der Aufbau einer leistungsfähigen Testinfrastruktur im Mittelpunkt. Die Testinfrastruktur soll die Erprobung neuer Technologiekomponenten unter realistischen und offenen Bedingungen ermöglichen. Hierdurch soll die direkte Verwertung beschleunigt und mittelfristig der Aufbau eines neuen Ökosystems gewährleistet werden.)
