Description
SIX-BRICC's overall objective is to research a mobile, resilient “6G-in-a-Box” system for temporary medical treatment sites and other operational scenarios involving public safety and emergency response organisations, and to validate it as a pre-competitive demonstrator. The overall system will integrate local 5G/6G-oriented communications, edge computing, secure services, wireless sensing and digital applications to enable reliable situational awareness, digital process support and improved coordination of medical care, even when public infrastructure is disrupted or unavailable. The TUB/TKN subproject provides the scientific and technical contribution on wireless sensing and Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC). It investigates how existing and additional radio infrastructure can be used not only for communication but also to detect presence, movement and occupancy, and to capture contextual information.
