Durch die zunehmende Anzahl interaktiver Multimedia-Anwendungen steigen die Anforderungen an die Netzwerk-Funktionalität. Die Notwendigkeit, Dienstgüte für die Übertragung zuzusichern, gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung. In dieser Arbeit soll die Traffic Control Funktionalität des Linux Betriebssystems präsentiert werden. Dabei werden zunächst die von der IETF standardisierten Dienstgüte-Mechanismen für IP-Netzwerke vorgestellt. Die Implementation unter Linux wird erläutert und anschließend in Labormessungen untersucht.
